Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Center
Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort, in Key Largo, Florida, has made several major improvements. A beautiful new two story Conch-style building has been built on the east end of the property. It houses the reception area, a boutique and suites. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and real grass, the white and raspberry trimmed building is indicative of the care and quality that has gone into every aspect of the resort.
The new Amoray Boutique features gold and silver jewelry, clothing and resort gift items; all with a sealife or nautical motif.
The new office allows Amoray personnel to greet guests as soon as they turn off U.S. Highway 1; the computerized reservation system makes check-ins speedy. Also new are two spacious parking lots.
During the past year Amoray has tiled and redecorated rooms and begun offering a continental breakfast. Also, the property has been expanded and now offers a heated swimming pool, a small sand beach and hottub on the sundeck overlooking beautiful Florida Bay.
Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort has also been selected to join the Mariner Saltwater Proteam. The Amoray Diver, the resort's 45 foot custom catamaran, is now equipped with a pair of new 1998 Mariner 250XXL outboards that provide the ultimate in reliability, efficiency and speed. The new Mariners are very quiet, making it easy to relax to the carefree Caribbean melodies on the boat's new marine stereo sound system.
Some of the other amenities guests enjoy aboard the Amoray Diver include a new camera station equipped with high pressure hose, rinse area and assembly area, freshwater showers, large side-mounted boarding ladders, a clean and spacious marine head, onboard defogging solution, ice water and a cooler and, last but not least, the most courteous, helpful and professional crew you will be able to find anywhere in the Keys.
The dock at Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort is the perfect place to view the December Key Largo Boat Parade, one of the largest of its kind. It's also a great place to view New Year's Eve's fabulous fireworks and the 4th of July pyrotechnics. In late August and early September, Amoray offers its annual coral spawning night dives.
